The Best Strength Training Exercise You Can Learn!

One of the greatest strength moves and overall best exercises for you to master is the squat. This particular exercise is one that I have found that most 95{15aeb35eec840799df247626cfa6821cb9499241e90aba7a245c8546144fd8f4} of ALL people do improperly. You see the key to squatting is learning how to push your hips back while keeping your heels flat on the floor. As you descend into the movement you have got to push your chest out over your knees and keep your back straight. Now this is the point at which most people mess up.

You have probably heard about keeping your back straight and this thought causes most people to try to squat by trying to go down while focusing on keeping their back “vertical.” This is where you shouldn’t confuse vertical with being straight. If you stand vertical and attempt to squat you will notice that your knees will push out over your toes. This puts unnecessary stress on your knees which will over time cause chronic knee problems. From this point most people will place blame on the squat exercise rather than their poor technique and never attempt the exercise again. Not only is this the reason for their bad knees, but when most people squat they tend to do it with a weight on their back. As they improperly descend into the squat they maintain that “vertical” back and lower themselves by rounding their shoulders which adds additional stress to their knees and now even more stress to their lower back. Because of their poor technique they just went from bad to worse by placing unnecessary torque on both their knees and lower back. This is a sign of true ignorance and it usually ends up costing people big in both areas of their health and in their wallets with medical bills trying to correct it. Take the time to master the squat.

With over 10 years of training experience with both world class athletes and serious fitness enthusiast I generally always have to work on helping people with their squats. Chances are you might need to work on yours. If you are interested in learning more then feel free to access the rest of my articles on the subject for free.
